I am a talented trainer, expert capability builder and inclusive space holder with expertise in:

  • Theory of Change making with local residents, charities, funders, statutory
  • Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning / Impact assessment frameworks: made easy so you know what data to collect, when and how
  • Creative and clever ways to collect, analyse and report on outcomes & impact data
  • Principles for good impact practice as a funder

All my training includes time to: demystify terminology, think about what your organisation needs and plan so that you get the most out of the day.

Support including one-to-one or group coaching:

Let me be your critical friend, learning partner, evaluation buddy!

Buy a 'bundle' of time to use over 3 to 6 months and I will help you hone your skills, knowledge and confidence to create your own Theory of Change, present your monitoring and evaluation requirements to your board, design ways to collect data that suit your culture and values, and more!

This works well for volunteer teams, staff, senior managers, trustee boards, cross-team and even cross-organisation partnerships.

Consultancy including social research and evaluation:

Allow me to ask key questions, collect useful information, and present evidence that makes a compelling story of how your work has made a difference and what you have learnt along the way.

You want to learn about the difference your work makes especially so you can provide your funder a compelling report. I will carry out independent research for you, drawing on your self evaluation data, collecting primary data to present you with findings from which we can co-create recommendations based on which I will write your report.

If you are a funder and want to know the impact of your funding - I will help you identify your key evaluation questions, devise your overall Theory of Change (plus your programmatic/project Theories of Change) and monitoring framework. This will be the basis from which I will collect data, analyse it and prepare a report for you.

Testimonials

Here's what previous clients say about our work together

CEO: local support centre

Shehnaaz delivered a great workshop on Theory of Change and outcome monitoring for our management team. She is very knowledgeable and skilled in this area and clearly has a passion for this very important subject. She followed the session up with notes and clear actions and I’m looking forward to working with her again.

Impact & Quality Officer: national charity

Shehnaaz completed work on the Theory of Change for us. Shehnaaz demonstrated incredible listening skills really absorbing what we wanted as a charity and our mission. She delivered a tailored and bespoke training to our wider teams in collaboration with the team. The training was successful and Shehnaaz dealt with all personalities with a calm and professional approach. I would recommend working with Shehnaaz, with her brilliant organisational skills the work was completed in a fun, easy environment.

Head of Delivery, national charity

Shehnaaz was described by one of my team as 'the best trainer ever'. She facilitated a one-day course for the team at Pilotlight, on monitoring and evaluation - showcasing different models and approaches. Shehnaaz has so much experience and knowledge to share and imparts her wisdom generously, sharing lots of real life experiences which makes the subject come alive. We all came away from the day knowing more, no matter the starting point. If you are looking to develop your knowledge on this topic, I recommend Shehnaaz very highly.

Retired Director, funder

I have worked with Shehnaaz over many years, whereby she has supported hundreds of our grantees to better understand the purpose of evaluation, the relevance of outcomes to their work and the value of planning this at the start of their projects. She is an excellent trainer who is able to simplify the language of monitoring and evaluation, and provide practical support to groups of all sizes to write their evaluation plans. The feedback from training participants has been overwhelmingly positive. I have no hesitation in recommending Shehnaaz.
